Math 6 is a differentiated course that is designed to meet the needs of the majority of our students.  

​

Advanced Math 6 is a course that covers 6th grade concepts at a deeper level of understanding and with greater application to the real world.  Current 6th grade concepts include the following:  rates/ratios, expressions/equations, division of fractions, absolute value, independent/dependent variables, integers, volume of prisms, and statistics: measures of center and variability. 

Accelerated Math 7 is considered two years accelerated and is designed to meet the needs of our highest math students.  In this course, students must be academically and socially/emotionally equipped to master potential 6th grade gaps, all 7th grade standards, and half of 8th grade standards in one academic year.

Advanced Language Arts

Advanced Language Arts is a course designed for those students who have been identified as needing additional challenge in reading and writing. The language arts processes of reading, writing, listening and speaking are taught in an integrated and interrelated manner. Students enrolled in Advanced Language Arts are provided a rigorous but balanced program that includes in-depth, complex instruction, as well as fast paced study. Enrollment is based on teacher recommendations and demonstrated need. Gifted and Talented identified students are also eligible to be enrolled in this course.
